TPRawks

Hi guys,

Writing this at the end of my Day 1 at TPrawks.

I was really afraid I couldn't be a good leader. I thought I was gonna fail at the start when I didn't know how to interact with my rawkers. I look around and my fellow PLs were already performing so well, they could communicate with the rawkers so smoothly. I tried, again, despite the awkwardness.

Luckily I was able to have more conversations with them. From what school they came from, what course they would be interested in, their names and etc.

I really regret not having the chance to interact with each and every rawkers that came alone. As most of them came in groups or pairs, it was really hard for me to spot singles. When I did, I only manage to have a short conversation with him, trying to get him to communicate with the guys next to him. After which, we were told to go for a briefing.

And we split, I didn't see him anymore since we got into Grunge Rawk 1 and 2. I was in 1 and he wasn't there. I really hope those individuals will come back on Day 2 and it'll definitely make me really happy to have their presence here!

Yup, the time where we interacted with the rawkers most was during Xperience! Belle, Vivian, Natasha and I went around trying to memorize the 14 names and managed to memorize them all at the end of the 1 hour lesson! Ah, at that point of time, we didn't thought of getting their phone numbers. Only gave the rawkers my phone number and didn't take theirs! T.T I thought we were not allowed to use phones often so I didn't take it out...

And I really hope I can still remember the rawkers names on Day 2 !

Ok guys ,

So on to Day 2 of TPRAWKS.

( Since I didn't blog that day as I got home pretty late and was too tired to turn on the computer) , I shall just get to my main point of the day.

On seeing the amount of rawkers that appeared on Day 2 was really.... the heart just melts. I thought our performance weren't there yet, for close to 80 rawkers to appear on Day 2! With some of the rawkers bringing their friends along!

Xperience 2 was funfunfun ! Leading the group we called the apes with Isabelle and I. In the cute way, we called them apes because all of them love running about! Like their enthusiasm level was 101%! And we needed a name to call their group instead of grunge 1 cos it sounded horrible. So we're like apes gather! And they all will come back ! ^^

And now I really understand why GLs actually cried during FO. I used to wonder what do they actually cry about. But now I know how much hard work they have to go thru. Despite knowing that our performance wasn't good ( or at least to myself that I have lots of room for improvement) , it was announced that grunge rawks won first for Rawkers' challenge which really made my heart have this really indescribable feeling. Like a huge blob of happiness wanting to choke out of my body, enough to make me feel like tearing. Yes, it was really, that feeling where you are trying really hard together with your rawkers, thinking that we can barely scrape through, but yet emerging first.

Felt so motivated to work even harder!

Day 3 of TPRAWKS.

Another great day. I love how I was able to interact with small groups of rawkers during Xperience. At least the bonding time and the number of rawkers per group allowed us to really get to know more about them!

My most hyped time was during AS school's activity. I started feeling better about leading although sometimes I get lost halfway. But I know I tried! I wanna improve more in leading. I'm so glad that the guys and girls were able to support me, isabelle and aaron ! :)

The day ended really great with jam and hop which really got most of the rawkers high and many of them finally got out of their comfort zone and start dancing like crazy. It was a fabulous sight.

Week 1

So semester 2 started already. I kind of prefer my time table now compared to 1.1, that's because I get to have afternoon lessons!

Initially, it's like quickly end lesson = better. But now, I realize that afternoon classes seems to pass really fast! Like a 50 minutes lesson is only 10 minutes long~ Ok, but maybe it's because I've got good teachers. Especially my maths tutor and lecturer. My tutor is so awesome because he is able to engage the entire class :) My emath1 tutor was totally opposite, making the lesson seems dry and boring.

So far I think i'm pretty lucky? I haven't seen a couple of teachers yet since there are still some lab/tutorial lessons that i've not attended. So hopefully i'll be blessed with great teachers this semester! ^^

Wednesdays are days where I die.
My sinus came. And now i'm getting the flu. 3 hours of sleep that fuel me my entire day 8 am - 6 pm lesson.  ( with lots of breaks in between )

Oh, and totally I finally met my new classmates ( for BFA and BEC ) . Thank god I at least know someone in my BEC tutorial class. I don't know anyone else though, kind of afraid who'll be partnering me for project work, although im pretty flexible with whoever I work with. Just don't be too demanding and harsh will do okay? :-*

Bye!

Double.

Hello! So school is starting in a couple of days. I got my time table yesterday and initially I was quite upset about it ending after 5 almost everyday except for Friday. But I get to sleep late which is not a very good thing though because my lessons begins after twelve for Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Now to work hard this sem considering i'll be taking subjects that I have greater interest in. I'm really afraid that programming isn't what I've always wanted it to be. I've always liked programming since young and wanted to be an engineer since I was in primary 3 or 4. Like i'm finally taking a diploma in an engine course! So yeah, really hope that when I start programming, i'll still like it and prove everyone else wrong of saying i'll eventually hate it.

I also got into Diploma Plus. And yes... i'll have a total of 6 CDS completed by the time I graduate because I've already completed Japanese & TNS during my DPA period. Phew.

Anyways, I'm just back from two chalets. Not in a row but on the exact same days. Haha! Had to hop around both chalets and my bicycle's brake couldn't work anymore but thank god that only happened on the last day of the chalet :)

My most beloved dad sent me home after the 3D2N

Dad's Day.

9th October is my Dad's birthday.

My sisters their guys and I ( the lonely one without a partner ) gave dad a dinner treat at the crab place on Sunday, 7th October. I can't remember what's that restaurant was although we've been there before. But yeah, crab being their speciality, we ordered Chilli Crab and also butter crab.

I am no fan of chilli so I only had the butter. And like everyone else, I just love the pincer of the crab! If  you love the legs, please tell me, i'll be super glad to have a crab feast with you! Heheheh.

So yeah, G got a cake for Dad and we celebrated back at home. With baby spartan barking as usual when we sang the birthday song.

That kind of ended the day.

8th October

Had to head down to Queenstown to pass my buyer some stuff and initially planned to head over to Cheryl's house straight but decided to wait for Claris to end her classes at 4pm. So I reached Tanjong Pajar at 3 and started hunting for the post office which was at Tanjong Pajar Complex. I went the wrong direction and headed into CBD area but in the end I still found the post office! And after I was done with my mails, I was about to head back to the station to wait for Claris' lessons to end, but was tempted by the dessert store "Dessert in the City"....

So it was my first time sitting alone and having a lonely yet awesome meal ^^
Yup, i've never eaten alone outside before. FIRST TIME.

And by the time I was done, I walked to the other end of Tanjong Pajar MRT station and then we settled down at "Once upon a Rosti" !

My first time trying Rosti too ^^ Hehehe. It was good, I'll definitely go back there again!

And guess what our receipt says!

So cute right? ^_^

Yeah, then both of us headed to Cheryl's place and had our usual catch ups. We wanted to go to a ice cream cafe I think down the road, but it was closed :( , so we walked to nex and had dinner at new zealand ice cream. My first time eating main course there! So today is kind of like, me experiencing my first times. Hehe. Yeah, anyway the ham and idk what carbonara was good! Love the cheesy thickness ^^ Minjun came to find us too!

Took a bus ride home from nex. I just love long bus rides. And went home for my charger before heading out to meet Aaron. Yes, we're suppose to go for supper but since both of us had eaten, he had this crazy idea of playing pool. Oh, i've always been a bad player why do people think I could play well....

So yupz, we walked back to find Kenny & Darren. With Mac while they had their prata. The very nice guys walks me home ^^

9th October.

DAD's BIRTHDAY ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST DAD IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.
I really really want to thank my dad although he doesn't read my blog for everything that he had done for us. My dad always place the family before his stuff. He always place us first, and I really thank god I had a dad like him. Although sometimes I hope he can be honest and stop lying about being free when he's actually busy. My dad sends me to school everyday. He always nags at me for leaving the house so late but he still sends me. Even when he's suppose to start work at 9am, he will still send me to school for my 10am lessons.

My dad also makes sure we don't get hungry. In the middle of the night, he will still ask if we're hungry and whether we need him to get food for us. It's like, he's even willing to do things for us no matter how tired he is.

When I wanted a PSP, he went to buy me a PS vita instead and surprised me for my birthday. Oh and for my birthdays, I have already received tons of present. Each time he spends a large amount of money on me or my sisters, he will proclaim it as our birthday present for the year. My dad always wants the best for us.

I really hope that I can be a better daughter and treat my dad with more love and respect. I couldn't ask for more, but to give more.

Anywayz,

9th October, I headed out and took a cab to tampines MRT station which cost me only $3.... just to pass my buyers stuff cos they arrived earlier than the time we should meet :( Post some mails before heading down katong shopping centre cos the guys were at teoheng. Yup, I arrived just as they ended their last song.

We had Katong Laksa after that before heading to Hougang Plaza for Pooooool !

Gosh, I just love the atmosphere at Plaza. I don't get why everyone wants to play at Tampines Safra, like the atmosphere is really not there!

Ok yeah, we had subways after that.

Have a HTHT session with Beaunice, Mj, Justin & Tim at the playground^^

And when I came home, guess what!

I told my sis on twitter that I wanted sushi and they got me some!

YES THAT ENDS MY DAY GOOD NIGHT.

This week's happenings.

This will be a wordy post with no images . You all know I don't take a lot of photos. Well, maybe i'll do so in future I don't know. An exception to taking photos of food. Hehe.

1st Oct was DPA's retreat!

I was kind of late because I had to do some mailing of items at the post office and I missed the first activity! I arrived when they were having a break. Oh how I miss hanging out as a group with them! And after break, was the second activity. Well, being honest is the best way to help things improve right? So I'll say that the wet games can be a lot better! It was pretty messy when we had the first wet game, dog and bone or how do you call it again? Like, the basic rules of the game was understood but not the rules on how we played it. I didn't exactly got really wet, maybe I got lucky. But doesn't it defeats the purpose of wet games? Kinda. :S

Nonetheless, I had a great time with the people I haven't seen for months or weeks! We all went to change up after that, had a little tea break at mac/subway and ended the retreat with a debrief :)

Audrey, Zhou & I headed to Safra to play pool. Hahaha, it's been super long since I touched a cue stick and I was playing really badly. Although I know I've always been bad at pool but I was playing even worse. You get what I mean...

2nd - 4th Oct was Mithio's Chalet!

Reignited the mithio fire in us was the slogan. And yes, I think that the fire was definitely reignited considering the amount of spam I'm getting daily from the WA chat.

I arrived late on the first night. Had some drinking game and then mad puking. Well I thank god I always pee or puke out the alcohol instead of it being stuck in my body. Yaya, I always go the toilet like umpteen times whenever I drink. So I really really need a toilet to be around when I'm drinking HAHAHA.

The next day my dad sent me back and he sent bryan all the way to clarke quay. And this bitch told me he'll treat me ice cream when we're back at the chalet but I ended up treating him to Mcflurry :(

^ I wanted to get back to the chalet when they are having their BBQ but I overslept till my dad woke me up omg! I didn't have any food in the end :'( But how great was I, buying 5 packets of fries there and only half of them were at the chalet! The remaining of us at the chalet went on karaokeparty and had our mini karaoke session :p until the rest came back.

Well, the day went on and in the morning it was time to check out! Left with a few of them when my dad came to pick me up. Oh how I love my dad :)

Went home wanting a long hibernation till the next day in the hope of tuning my body clock back. But... I woke up at 11pm, had my dinner and went to sleep at 4am!

But I had to wake up early the next day anyway :)
It was SU's Glam outing!
I met them after the movies cos I didn't like action genre.
Also had my first meal at Javier's. OMG I JUST REALIZE I DIDN'T TAKE A PHOTO OF MY FOOD!

And taking kaisheng's hint of wanting a birthday celebration, Ayaka, Kenny and I went to get a cake for him from coffee bean.. Only to have people smash his face with it ! hahaha.

After that, played 3 hours of lan. Oh god, I just hate shooting games and I can never remember or press the keys correctly. LOL. Being a burden at move L4D and Counter Strike... I decided to play my audition alone. Lol. 3 hours passed and we headed to Rochor Beancurd! My fav! Before laoban came into my life~

Then the tampines people took a train back. Then Aaron and I got a carton of drink and headed to a fitness corner with Kenny joining us after he bath. Had a great htht session with them followed by a breakfast at 5-6 in the morning before heading home ^^

Mini Rant Post

So as i'm waiting for my hair to dry at 4 in the morning and I have to wake up at 10am to prepare and meet a buyer later .... i'm so gonna die, haven't been waking up before 4pm since the past week....  I shall RANT.

When people first talk to me, I'm usually accepting and yes, talk to you. I feel that judging someone is BAD. I know you're going to tell me that everyone judge. Because that's what i'll tell people. I do judge people, but I don't judge the way many people actually do. I judge the character, NOT the appearance. I'm not lying. And I know that appearance judging can be quite insulting.
I remember a friend who started talking to me in chinese all the way. And after a few dialogues, that friend asked "你从中国来的吗?"... That's what I mean of appearance judging. Ok but really, IM A PURE SINGAPOREAN!
Maybe I have judged in the past. But I don't do so now, legit explanation if you're gonna tell people i'm a contradictor right? And yes, I hate ice breaking games that wants us to give first impression. I have NO true impression of people unless they did something to catch my attention.

Another point is... I know I may not look rich. I look like some haggard girl who only go for cheap and just cheap. And I'm not saying I'm rich. Don't get me wrong. Yes, this is undeniable. I LOVE CHEAP STUFF. But there is a fine line between branded, non-branded. Of cos, non-branded stuff are meant to be cheap aren't they? Don't you find it stupid to spend $500 on a watch without a brand when you can get an emporior armani watch to show off at the same price? I'm not trying to be materialistic here. I'm just trying to tell you all that in shopping, you have to shop smart.

I can look at a piece of top selling for $20 with no brand and say it's darn expensive. But when I walk into forever 21, I will grab a piece of top and go crazy like OMGWTF ITS SO CHEAP. Get my point now?
And know this. I absolutely HATE IT when people ask me " Real or Fake one " GUYS, I DON'T USE COUNTERFEIT GOODS. And i'll definitely not get those AAA grade products. Maybe in future you see me using those... you can confront me already. hahaha! Remember, people change. Because you're still paying a lump sum of money to get AAA grade, might as well save a little more and get it from the actual retail store? Have more feel, don't you agree?

Ok actually my whole point of this mini rant was about conversations.... If you want to talk to me, can it please please please be constructive? Seriously. I'll give you a mini scenario.

A: I'm so broke now...
B: Get a job?
A: Lazy

I mean... like, why are you complaining to me that you're broke when you don't wanna get a job. How else do you want money to come. Me giving you? Dropping down from the sky? It's either you go get a fucking job sorry I really can't hold my vulgarities in anymore , or you get a raise of allowance from your parents, or you go beg or do whatever you want ! If you can start a conversation with me, how lazy can you be? Don't you know how advance google is. Probably just typing " Job Sg " you can get a whole list of jobs. Maybe you're just trying to hint me to find you a job. But sorry I can't be bothered.

Sorry if you think its you, well I get that a lot that's why I can't stand it but to display the amount of angst I have here.

That's all.

My trip to Bangkok

Ok guys,

My food post with a little of every other thing will be coming up! Scroll down if you've already filled your stomachs, if not, do not hold me account for grumbling in your stomach!

ok i'm just exaggerating..

My last meal before setting off !

ta-ta Singapore !

Have you guys ever seen the magnificent view of the sun set from the skies? It's fabulous I swear.

My first meal after the 2 hours flight ! We took a cab down to the hotel and settled down at the restaurant at the hotel lobby :) Food's great. But the next and every meal in Thailand was street food. Well, what's a trip to Thailand without trying out their street delicacies ? ;)

So for the first breakfast i had some thailand crepes before that but I didn't snap a good photo of it! in Bangkok we have some ballball noodles the noodles have a mixture of fried fish balls, meatballs, fishball and yeah... kind of cleared the noodles and left the meatballs alone cos im not a fan of them x.x . And actually, we were suppose to be having wonton noodles but we thought this was the stall when in fact, the wonton noodles store was further down the streets hahah!

Every now and then, we would take a break from shopping..... so here's some mango milk ice from the food court below my hotel ! Their food courts are really empty and I have no idea how they actually make money selling there .

And yes, the mango ice here are really good, the amount of condense milk they pour over it is just right and the mango is super fresh because they only peel and slice the mango when you request for a bowl!

More street delicacies! Quail eggs! They were good, probably even better than normal eggs ^_^ yumz

This is Nutella + Banana + Raisins + Cashew nuts Crepe. And its not even $2! Maybe less than $1, i can't remember !

Street Delicacies : Cup Corns ! Ok, these are really juicy too !

Tut - Tut ! Took a short ride on a Tut-Tut. Gosh, I swear my face would've been covered with dust and debris if I had not used my hair to cover my face. LOL. I didn't have a mask with me... and the air was really bad. Even though I've snipped away over 60cm of hair at least its still long enough to cover my face.

My parents and I on a tut-tut. The wind was blowing really strongly or was it the driver speeding. That my hair got so messed up there and yah, I'm really ugly here dont judge leh.

Now, don't you think this prawn looks BIG and JUICY? Don't get fooled... it's made of the same ingredients as those crabmeat sticks you eat during steamboat. What a disappointment. I'm no lover of crabmeat sticks ya. But to contradict myself, it still taste good, maybe due to the blend of flavours from the Thailand air.

And a coconut drink to quench our thirst after walking around and eating all the spicy food ^^

Things I like about their convenient stores :
Choki Choki, 5 sticks for less than a dollar
Hi-Chew, with 12 candy for only a dollar a few cents !

I've always had something about trying out fast food outlets overseas. Singapore's fillet burger still taste better. :|

A milktea fetish caused me to get 3 cups of milk teas in 2 hours. The first cup was quickly downed by me as I was too thirsty to snap snap a picture.

Yes, something you'll have to try at Thailand is their tom yum soup !

And also their mango sticky rice !
This was my last meal at thailand. Its at one of the restaurants in the airport :)

 Drunken dog
* Points to ginger beer bottle by the pole *

I'm coming back Singapore !

Oh wait, I've forgotten my final final meal was on the airplane. Yes, cup noodles LOL. I can still remember this guy looking at me like "how can she be eating like nothing happened when there's turbulence?"
