PINEAPPLE BURNS MY TONGUE
Opened the fridge at noon and saw some cubes of yellow goodness wrapped up in cling wrap. So I naturally thought they were mangoes because a few days back my dad sliced up a mango for me. Stole a bite and omg they were actually pineapples!
But they were not sour or anything. It was actually pretty nice and sweet so I took another plate and emptied half of the cubes onto my plate. Was enjoying my pineapples while YouTubing but after finishing my serving, I put my plate aside....
And my tongue started feeling prickly. It's super uncomfortable T_T. And since pineapples were the last thing I ate, I googled pineapples and prickly. And there were lots of similar experiences. Thank god I'm not the only one.
So today I learnt that pineapple contains a kind of enzyme, Bromelain, that digest protein. It is a kind of meat tenderizer. And it is kind of digesting my tongue!? Yuck gross.
One more takeaway from today's pineapple eating session is that I should never eat pineapple fresh anymore.
HAHAHA.

My first blood test
Today I went to the docs to check on my throat as I have been having this persistent sore throat for over 4.5 weeks. I've got a swell by the side and was told that I needed to do a blood test.
I was feeling in denial, like oh my gosh blood test?! I really wanted to know my blood type (although I'm suppose to be doing the test to check on blood count and smth) HAHA. But yeah I requested to know my blood type. Hmm, I'm actually pretty excited about it. People are always telling me "how come you don't know?! It's in your health booklet!" But goddam it . If it WAS in my health booklet obviously I wouldn't be so dumb that 20 years into my life I didn't know about it right...?
Ok so about the process. Is it just me or that I'm really afraid of needles but I do have a high tolerance of pain? So before the needle pokes in my skin, I was pretty jumpy about it. But like it really didn't feel like much. So 5ml of my blood was extracted and I felt extremely dizzy right after. Gosh, I can't ever imagine myself ever going for blood donation. I would probably faint after they drained 10ml of blood. But yeah my weight doesn't fall in the group that is allowed to donate blood.
Alright so that's my first blood test experience and overall it didn't hurt. And like friends have told me that you can feel the blood draining into the syringe but I didn't feel that at all? To anyone who would be going for a blood test in the future, don't be afraid! The most you're going to feel is really just a small ant bite. Yes that's what it felt like, an ant bite.
